Frequently Asked Questions
What is InvoBaseOS?
InvoBaseOS is an offline-first invoicing application designed for iPhone and iPad. It helps freelancers, independent professionals, contractors, and small businesses manage invoices and business records locally with a clean, privacy-focused workflow.
Who is InvoBaseOS designed for?
InvoBaseOS is designed for:
- Freelancers
- Contractors
- Independent creators
- Local businesses
- Service providers
- Small teams looking for an offline-first invoicing solution
Does InvoBaseOS require an internet connection?
No. InvoBaseOS is designed to operate offline and does not require a constant internet connection for its core functionality.
Is my data stored locally?
Yes. Invoice, account, and related application data are stored locally on your device and protected through the application's encrypted local storage system.
Can I use InvoBaseOS on both iPhone and iPad?
Yes. InvoBaseOS supports both iPhone and iPad.
However, data is currently stored independently on each device. InvoBaseOS does not currently synchronize invoice, account, or business data automatically between an iPhone and iPad.
Does InvoBaseOS sync across devices?
No. InvoBaseOS is currently designed for use in a single-device environment.
The application does not currently support automatic cloud synchronization or multi-device syncing. Using InvoBaseOS on more than one device will result in separate local datasets on each device.
Future transfer, migration, or synchronization functionality may be explored later, but is not currently guaranteed.
Does InvoBaseOS require a subscription?
No. InvoBaseOS is a one-time purchase application with no required recurring monthly subscription.
Why is InvoBaseOS a paid app instead of free?
InvoBaseOS was developed as a premium offline-first application without relying on mandatory subscriptions, advertising, data harvesting, or forced cloud account systems.
The purchase price helps support continued development, application maintenance, future updates, testing, and long-term support as an independent software product.
Other invoicing apps are free. Why should I use InvoBaseOS?
Many invoicing applications rely on subscriptions, cloud-based infrastructure, advertising, account ecosystems, or data-driven business models.
InvoBaseOS was designed differently. It focuses on local ownership, offline functionality, privacy-focused workflows, reduced dependency on cloud services, and a one-time purchase model without required subscriptions.
What if InvoBaseOS is not the right fit for me?
InvoBaseOS may not be the right solution for every workflow or business environment.
It is best suited for users who value offline accessibility, device-local storage, privacy-focused workflows, and reduced dependency on cloud-based subscription platforms.
Does InvoBaseOS collect or sell personal data?
InvoBaseOS is designed around local-first data ownership principles. The application is not intended to operate as an advertising platform, data collection service, or data resale service.
Please refer to the official Privacy Policy for detailed information regarding data handling and privacy practices.
Why is onboarding important?
The onboarding process contains important information regarding account setup, local data handling, password responsibilities, Master Key storage, and recovery limitations.
Users should carefully review all onboarding instructions before continuing.
What is the Master Key?
During onboarding, InvoBaseOS generates a unique Master Key used for recovery and secure account management purposes.
The Master Key is shown only once during setup. Users are strongly encouraged to store it securely immediately after it is displayed.
Twin Unified Studios LLC does not retain a recoverable copy of the Master Key that can later be provided to the user.
What happens if I lose my Master Key?
If the Master Key is lost and account credentials cannot otherwise be recovered, encrypted local data may become permanently inaccessible.
Twin Unified Studios LLC cannot recover lost Master Keys, forgotten passwords, or inaccessible encrypted local data.
Why does exporting require re-authentication?
Exporting invoice or client data may expose sensitive business information outside the protected local environment of the application.
For additional security, administrative actions such as exporting data may require account re-authentication before proceeding.
Why are Standard accounts view-only?
Standard accounts are intentionally limited to viewing information in order to help reduce the risk of accidental modification, unauthorized changes, invoice tampering, or deletion of important records.
Administrative accounts maintain control over invoice management, account management, exports, and sensitive application settings.
Is InvoBaseOS completely secure?
No application can guarantee absolute security.
InvoBaseOS is designed with a privacy-focused architecture intended to reduce unnecessary exposure of sensitive business information.
Users remain responsible for securing their devices, maintaining strong passwords, safely storing their Master Key, and carefully following onboarding and recovery instructions.
Who is responsible for device and data management?
Because InvoBaseOS is designed as an offline-first application, users are responsible for maintaining access to their devices, protecting account credentials, securely storing their Master Key, and managing locally stored information.
Twin Unified Studios LLC does not maintain direct control over locally stored user data or device access.
Can I transfer my data or account to another device?
InvoBaseOS does not currently provide automatic account migration, cloud synchronization, or direct device-to-device transfer as part of its standard workflow.
Users should carefully manage the device on which their InvoBaseOS data is stored and should not assume that application data will automatically appear on another device.
What happens if my device is lost, damaged, reset, or inaccessible?
Because InvoBaseOS operates using local-first storage principles, loss of device access or locally stored recovery information may result in permanent loss of access to locally stored application data.
Twin Unified Studios LLC cannot recover inaccessible local files, forgotten passwords, lost Master Keys, or data removed as a result of device resets, application deletion, corruption, or hardware failure.
Why is InvoBaseOS designed this way?
InvoBaseOS was intentionally designed around privacy, local ownership, reduced cloud dependency, and offline accessibility.
Unlike cloud-dependent services, offline-first applications place more responsibility on the user for device access, recovery information, and locally stored data.
Are there plans for future updates?
Yes. Future updates may include usability improvements, interface refinements, workflow enhancements, additional export options, and expanded functionality based on user feedback and development priorities.
Future features are not guaranteed and may change over time.
Will there be a desktop version?
A desktop version for macOS or Windows may be explored in the future depending on development priorities, platform support, technical feasibility, and user demand.
No desktop release date or feature set is currently guaranteed.
Does paying for the app guarantee future features?
No. Purchasing InvoBaseOS provides access to the application in its current supported form.
Future updates, improvements, and features may be added over time, but future functionality is not guaranteed and may change depending on development priorities, technical requirements, and platform limitations.
What devices are supported?
InvoBaseOS is designed for supported iPhone and iPad devices running a compatible version of iOS or iPadOS.
For current device and operating system requirements, please refer to the InvoBaseOS App Store listing or the official InvoBaseOS product page.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Removing InvoBaseOS may permanently remove locally stored application data.
Because InvoBaseOS currently operates using a single-device, offline-first model, users should not uninstall the application unless they understand that locally stored information may no longer be recoverable afterward.
What happens if I use "Wipe All Data"?
The "Wipe All Data" feature permanently removes locally stored InvoBaseOS application data and returns the application to its initial setup state.
This action is intended to be destructive and cannot be undone. Users should carefully review all confirmation prompts before continuing.
